words

I keep hearing new words from Gretchen, so I thought I'd get a few things down.
  • bah = no, doggie - I think I've mentioned this word.  I count it as a word even though it doesn't appear in the dictionary since our dog trainer taught us to use it instead of no.
  • ow = out, as in "get out of my way dog!" and said very firmly.  (I feel bad that I apparently tell the dogs to move out of the way enough that she caught on, but they often crowd her for food.)
  • ow = ouch
  • no
  • yea
  • dis = this
  • dat = that - she likes to ask for a lot of thises and thats that are not baby appropriate, but at least she asks prior to the total emotional meltdown.
  • uh-oh - her favorite.  She has a lot of "accidents" so she can say this frequently.
  • bye-bye
She says dada a lot, but still reserves mama for moments of despair.
She's just starting to sign some too.  So far she's signing cracker and milk.  We're not very good at working on these.
