oil tank revisited

I know you have all been on the edge of your seats wondering about the oil tank.  After much emailing and phone calling I believe it has all been resolved.  Phew!  The probably unsafe "tank" that was put in will be removed, and the sellers will compensate us for the work that they should have had done prior to us moving in so we can have it done asap.  Yay!  We'll be without heat for a few days, but, though I constantly complain about being cold in our moderate climate, we will survive.  I'll be busy unpacking and generating heat that way.  Gretchen will wear some extra clothes.  I just found out that it's actually supposed to be quite nice over the weekend (70s?), so perhaps we won't need to bundle up at all.  But if it's that nice will I be able to unpack?

For those of you who are unfamiliar with above ground oil tanks, they should look something like these images that I can only seem to get loaded as very small images.  A little different than what they were trying to leave for us.

Okay....that helps a little.
It looks like what we used to roast pigs in at Wapsie when we had Hawaiian week.
They use these alot in our area, too. The first place we looked at had an ENORMOUS one in the basement that was SO huge and SO old and SO un-cared-for and SO oily that it didn't so much look like an oil tank as it did a nuked oil tanker!

Anyway: YAY! for serendipity, and here's to everything coming together smoothly!
