We've been staged!

It's so strange to be in our space and have it feel so impersonal, but if it helps the house sell quickly I'm all for it!  We lost our tv and stereo to the staging, so we've been amusing ourselves with an alarm clock radio, and I managed to keep out our travel dvd player so I can watch a dvd while Gretchen is falling asleep.  I know, I could read, but I'm just too tired to read from all the work that it took to pack up the house so that it looks this way to do much of anything.

This week the baby-sitter's kids have been down with a bug, so yesterday Anne watched Gretchen for me and today I took the day off to spend with the girl.  Today we had to get the dogs situated so that they won't be at the house for showings so we went to the vet to update their shots and then enrolled them temporarily in doggie daycare.  Word is they enjoyed their first day at doggie daycare.  It was a bit challenging to manage Gretchen and the two crazy dogs, but with the kindness of strangers we made it through.  It is amazing how nice people will be to anyone holding a baby.  Then we had lunch at Toast for the second day in a row.  We also got the oil changed in my car and dropped off some pregnancy books that a friend had lent us.  And then we managed to clean up the back yard just a wee bit so it hopefully won't be too frightening to potential buyers.  An altogether productive day.

Now everyone still has their fingers crossed that we'll sell quickly, right?  Because I'm not sure how long I can keep this house in show quality form.

Wow! The house looks great! It should go quickly. I know you won't have trouble, but if it does drag on I can send a St. Joseph statue to you!

I'm very impressed with how much you did yesterday! Wow. You will be my inspiration to get off the couch today!
