6 months!

We celebrated 6 months with a breakfast at Toast followed by a tour of Evie's new house (it's wonderful!) and a walk down to their local park.  The Toast inspired onesy (above) was made by our neighbor.

Soon we'll be in our new house.  We finally had all contingencies on both houses removed today.  I'm getting very sad about leaving our house.  A lot has happened since we moved in 6 years ago.  And all the work that we did!  We'll be starting over with some of the same projects and some new ones too in the new house.  The kitchen for sure, and all of the floors.  I'm hoping the floors are in reasonable shape beneath the carpet of varying shades of pink.  All in all I'm still excited about the new house.

Someone seems to be having a hard time with teething right now, so we'd better sign off with a sloppy Katie kiss (Gretchen's favorite).

Wow! Happy six months old!
Congratulations on moving forward with the houses! I've been wondering what was going on.
I can't believe you've been in your place 6 years.
Why don't you want to keep the pink carpet?

Thanks so much for the picture of Gretchen with Raggedy Ellen. (Sniff!) And I'm glad to see that Gretchen and Katie are buddies!

I'm glad Katie isn't eating tiny Gretchen as it appears!
Too-too-too cute! Gretchen's got a smile to melt even a heart of stone. And yeah, I wasn't sure whether Katie was nibbling her little pal's hand or not, until I got the enlarged version on-screen. Heh!

Can't wait to hear and see more about both families' moves -- what an exciting time for all of you! As for leaving the home you've loved for the past 6 years, I refer you to your own good comments (left on one of my recent posts) concerning such things...

p.s. The boys were story-playing in the living room the other day, and kept referring to a character called "The Baby". When I asked them who The Baby was, they said, "The baby of Ellen's and Donnie's!"
p.p.s. Love the onsey!
