Pump up the volume

This week I made what turned out to be a fabulous purchase. This purchase has changed our lives. I bought a noise machine. It has somehow allowed Gretchen to sleep for 3 to 4 hour stretches at night, and she's even had a few naps that haven't required her to somehow be attached to my body. Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to hold her 24/7, but at some point I also need to do things around the house that require me to be baby free. Today she cooperated and slept in her hammock to the sound of loud manufactured rain while I cleaned up our bedroom.

We recently discovered that we get two big ten channels on tv. So we've caught some of the last two Iowa games. It was sad to watch this weekend, but we were still proud to wear our Hawkeye gear. This photo was actually from the previous weekend, hence Gretchen's smile.

We're fans of many a sad team this year. Gretchen manages to dirty her Jets gear pretty quickly each time she has it on--clearly a little embarrassed by their record. They did just win a game a few minutes ago. Yay! Don will be very happy.

Umm...all of a sudden my dog is throwing up and Gretchen is spitting up. I have some messes to clean up. Later!

Love the Hawkeye gear! We were also a little sad yesterday. Fortunately, we weren't able to watch the disaster, just listened online.
She is turning into quite the smiler!!
WOW! Great smiles! And great purchase, too! Hope you got the messes cleaned up alright... erk!
