I put this together a while back and never posted it. By now things have progressed further at the restaurant, and I hope to have some photos soon.

The building post paint job. The building owner was really happy with the results, so she hired Lenny to paint the rest of the building. So glad that the building will soon look better as a whole!

Last weekend our friend Heidi painted a sign on the side and front of the building. We love it! Once the liquor license comes through she's going to add a champagne glass to the right side. The building is so much more visible with the new paint and the sign. And now the neighborhood knows what is coming. At night Don says it looks like someone took a branding iron to the building with the words Toast.

I abandoned Don for an evening out with friends last week. We went to a farm dinner. The dinner was at a farm that I've picked berries at, and was catered by the folks who catered our wedding. It was a wonderful dinner. The best part was a three berry cobbler with mint gelato. I could have eaten a whole pan. Or more. It also happened to be a perfect night. It had rained all day, but the sun came out about an hour before the dinner and we had a wonderful sunset to accompany the dinner.

Me, the belly, and the most horribly written cash register manual. I almost trashed the cash register trying to program it with the horrible manual. Luckily we found a better version online before any drastic measures were taken.
