Ok, so I said we were done with vending, but then we decided to do a little something at the 2nd Annual Woodstock Neighborhood Picnic. Same crew, but slightly different food. We had a chicken salad (shredded chicken with a napa cabbage slaw), pot stickers, and grilled corn.Part of the reason we were at the picnic was
because of Don's friends at First Cup Coffeehouse. Don makes some of their baked goods. They signed on for the event and asked if we wanted to join them. Here are some of the baked items Don makes--banana bread, peanut butter cookies, triple chocolate cookies, stumperdoodle cookies (like a snickerdoodle with coffee blended in). He also makes killer quiches and zucchini bread, among other things. The day was successful and fun. We heard some music--first a lively children's band, then the same something like a xylophone band that follows us everywhere we go (apparently a big hit with everyone but us), followed by a good country/rock band The Dry County Crooks.

I loved the entry about David. I had a dream about him recently, that I wish I had written you about, because now I've forgotten the details. The essence of it was that David was wandering all over town wearing a t-shirt that was a "got milk?" parody. I think it may have been "got Pez?" or something like that. Ha. It made me chuckle!
